AGAPANTHUS 'Donau'

These plants, of South African origin, have compact clumps of strap shaped leaves above which the flowers rise as rounded umbels on tall stems. They start flowering towards the end of July and continue into August. Like most flowering plants, the flowering season will be longer in cooler weather conditions, fairly short if the weather is hot and dry, but they tend to look good whatever the weather. A striking hybrid with very large heads. The flowers are pale blue with a dramatic dark blue central stripe.
